Regrets?

I got an offer and declined it because of all the reasons stated above. The salary was good but what is a good salary if the company/drug does not last.... Too risky of a drug/company to switch jobs.

I wish everyone good luck and I hope it does well.

I hear that UCB maybe looking to buy us?

Add me to the list of concerned. Left a pretty stable job and wondering what I was thinking. I was hoping that I stay here for a few years, collect some stock options so when the company gets bought I could make some good dough but that all goes down the drain if we are bought sooner rather than later. Wonder if we are bought if we are booted to the curb by the new company?

I had an offer and also turned it down. Concerns were the same managed care concerns. Managed care will be very tough, being that most third party, and medicaid are removing branded drug for cost savings. Health care professionals can just write two generic pills! Its two generic pills cost at $400 vs one branded pill at $4000. They offered high bases salaries to reps with good doctor relationships for the reason of hoping that these reps could sway some scripts there way. Dont think even the good doctor- rep relationships will help here. Todyas environment managed care has the longest dedicated relationship when it comes to docs writing scripts!!

I expect more than UCB has expressed interest. Concerns about a buyout should be balanced with the November stock offering of 20 million shares though. Odd move if one is going to sell out in the near future. Partner with UCB or another pharma makes more sense than a buyout in my opinion.

stock offering of 20 million shares may be part of the poison pill in order not to be taken over, or to raise money. Increasing the share count so that it changes the majority share count for voting purposes. They have 40 million, so not sure if they needed cash.

Avnr is desparate for cash, full promotional budget will be 50-60 million easily for support of sales team, samples etc. Avnr must invest heavily to produce momentum from very expense sales team. The company will have 12 months to produce sustainable revenue, that is it.

The company has over 120M in cash before the dilution stated that they have enough for the commercial launch of Nuedexta. After the dilution they stated they have enough for the next 24 months. They will be burning cash not only on the launch of Nuedexta, but also on other indications since there are several left to pursue.

Couldn't disagree with you posters more. Happy to be here and excited for the future. Doctors have been very receptive. If you actually work here, then do your job. It's pretty damn easy.

The Managed Care group here is a joke! where did they get these people from? I made a huge mistake in coming here, no coverage, no caring, no sales.

What a jackass-you've obviously never launched a new drug before! The product is not even on the market yet and until it is, you won't even know the coverage. Quit crying and go back to your old company. Wedont want babies here.

"They were not here 12 months ago, moron! The product just got apporved!"

How did your drug get apporved? By the way, the Managed Care group has been around for many months prior to approval, and what have they done? They had at least 6 months, nothing done, nothing cleared...nice job! This company is my biggest regret. It is nice to see that our managed care group spends so much time on cafepharma worrying about their low well deserved image. too bad they did not spend the last 6 months on getting us some coverage
