Any other regions have anything scheduled? Ohio region has a call scheduled next week with managers director and VP. We are told this is because the VP will be attending the manager meeting. Doubtful we will hear anything newsworthy there since it's not an 11 am national call. curious if other areas have had or are going to have something like this. Will report back at the end of the week.

Heard the East COG VP is going to attempt to hit all the Fall meetings. I was able to find his "tell" on the video for all you poker players out there. Will be interesting to watch for it face to face.

Nothing in the West.

The West you say? CTL's are pissing off customers! Too many ctl' s managing small teams and riding with reps every phucking 2-3 weeks. Just look at the rosters, 7-9 reps per ctl, what a flippen joke. Cut some ctl's, they are bored and need larger teams to keep busy. Don't the dco's understand this? Do they ask the ctl's how many times they see a given customer in a year? Again, customers are pissed at the frequency managers show up at offices. This has got to change. I suggest DCO's require ctl's to enter a Veeva call when they visit a customer. They will be shocked to see the same ctl sometimes calling on the SAME customer 2-3 times per month. Access is precious and that is why you rarely see competitors with their managers in the field. But noooo, not at Smerck, they are like fleas on dogs. Phucking joke.

NAILED IT. So true.

I will sign this petition too. The current structure is bad for business. With current communication technology and so many tasks outsourced to 3rd parties such as recruiting and sample inventories. How is it that a CTL can't handle 15 reps?
Please sign a petition ASAP it will help in forming the termination lists. I will keep my eyes open for the petition delivery!

With very few exceptions the CTLs out west are the worst. Lowest rung on the management ladder. Fleas is an excellent description of them. Worthless. Bring no value at all to the FV

Unlike the East Coast, West COG Ctl's have never worked in HQ, most were promoted as reps and people they manage have more tenure. Riding around with reps and nitpicking post calls is worthless. And why ctl? Just call them a sales manager. Leader, really? That means trust and competency, not out west my friends. We have some true babysitter tyrants which the higher ups are aware of but never deal with. These ctl's continue in the same role year after year, lying, bullying and pushing those out who don't emulate them. DCO's push around the same required mid year and year end paperwork as an exercise in futility. Don't even get me started on favoritism within districts.

the east cog vp is a total tool (I know, tell you something you don't already know)! He is stair stepping up the ladder following in his brother's footsteps. How else do you think he got the job? He took all of his other position outside the US down the tube. He has a horrible track record when it come to performance of products and supervising subordinates.

If you work for him or work for someone who works directly for him be prepared to be nickeled and dimed out of everything this job had afforded you in the past several years. He takes micro-managing to a whole new level. Watch what you say and what you do because the person who reports to him will be watching so that their ass will not end up in a sling. You have no friends and confidants when that tool is leadin your group...so sorry and good luck with the up coming "challenges" you will be facing.

Stop talking about Lance Lopez and the the suddenly political Michelle Stewart that way! Michelle has HQ experience and used every bit of it to her advantage. Well played. She is a nice person but has clearly been blinded by the desire to become a Director or whatever the end goal is. Lance ... He's just a tool. Merck breeds only the best, haha!

No need to name names amigos, we all know what is going on. You mention the SP gal has hq experience? Say what? Didn't she do a brief Bellsomara gig? How did that work out? Her district n region are in the toilet, better send her back for training. Director aspirations? Pluueeze, maybe a director at a Taco Bell franchise. Plus she gossips too much and has burned many so she can take credit. Thought the guy you speak of would have moved on to another position by now, then again, a HR complaint file a foot thick probably prevents it. None of this matters anymore, ctl's and ctrs have a few short years left at best.
