Recent interview was a joke

I was interviewed some time ago at US for a managers positions in manufacturing. If the interview and the HR reps poor skills is an indication of US than I'm blessed I was never called back.
The HR rep (Angela) failed to discuss bennies, have any hard copy info for me, didn't even have any questions. She spoke all about herself. She stated she would get back to me the following week- well lets just say its been over a month!
When interviewed by lower level managers they were obviously not skilled in interviewing. The one wanted to get out of there to have another smoke, the other was pre-occupied with another company and was not the less bit into the interview.
The upper management guys seemed more focused. MORE FOCUSED ON WHAT THE DIRECTOR WAS LOOKING FOR; NOT WHAT THE IMEDIATE SUPERVISOIR WAS LOOKING FOR.
And there lied the issue. The director didn't have a clue what he was looking for.
Of course there is always the interviewee factor here. I suppose I wasn't the right fit for the position. Tough to be the right fit when they had no clue what they wanted.
My afternoon was wasted along with theres. The opening was reposted weeks ago. So they still don't know what they want.
I wish them luck and give thanks they didn't offer me anything. I'm confident I would be regreting my decision to go to work there.

Pretty crappy language skills for a manager, if you talk like you write, good luck finding a job.

Your vocabulary doesn't look to be too broad. So I guess it was a good move on both parts.

"Crappy"......doesn't seem to be "management" style either.

Cmon, you're pissed you didnt get the job...and you decide to bitch here, and then you post a poorly written/typo filled message like that...that's just sad.
By the way, managers are usually not the brightest bulbs, but they can usually at least talk and write.

I didn't write the first post "numb-nuttz"......Just pointed out that it was a two way street. Talk about sad. Giving grammar critiques on cafepharma???? Now thats sad.....

I interviewed there last year in R&D. I guess I flunked the stupid half day "personality test". When the head hunter told me about it, my first reaction was to say "screw it", but she talked me into going anyways. Waste of my time.

Angela was pretty hot, though. She didn't give me any info on benefits, either. That was first clue that I didn't get the job.

I have heard heartbreaking stories of HR making the candidates jump through hoops to attend interviews, provide personal information, and submit to background checks. Then HR disregarded them with no explanation, and later reposted the job positions. The same story for candidates who were apparently good enough for contract jobs, but passed over (with little regards to the damage to current workplace moral) when the positions opened for direct hire. This is a company with high standards and they believe they can hold out for the best, then go back to claim whoever they "tossed away" when they can't find what they are looking for.
