Why do we have so many recalls lately? Are we starting to cut corners?
That was awhile ago...This person makes it look like there's a ton of stuff recalled. That was one of two recalls we've EVER had.
I found out from from one of the surgeon this past week that there was a recall on our stapler. Anyone know which one?
Okay, how would your surgeon know about it before you?? You say "our" stapler, so I beg to wonder where you really work. No recalls...

I'm surprised how relaxed it is at the FDA. The grips have sealed shut so many times in the field on tissue and since they are practically cold welded closed, you can't use the emergency release.
We have bad r&d and quality groups as a result of cutting costs.

IS this true? You got to be kidding me. It's just one system. What a piece crap
Umm, 55 recalls since 2007 is NOTHING in our industry. Pull up Covidien, Medtronic and J&J...Plus, most of these were stupid recalls that had nothing to do w/ safety or quality of product. Did you even read what they were for? It's stuff like incorrect labels and outside products that were causing damage to packaging during shipment.

for Recall Intuitive Surgical has identified a potential for some units of the Monopolar curved Scissors version 09 and 10 instruments to develop very small cracks near the distal end. This may create a pathway for electrosurgical energy to leak to tissue and potentially cause thermal injury.
Let the haters hate. Intuitive is not perfect but name 1 company that is. Most of the people hating on Intuitive are obviously those that we are taking business away from. Keep hatin' while I keep taking your business.
