And please stop this pathetic music. I guess the sterotype is true. When is someone of color ever on time?
LC danced around the tough questions like a pro. He took no blame for the company's lack of leadership and his failure.
The "three year plan" is now to be referred to going forward as the "Leap of Death Plan". If LC is kept to lead the U.S. organization many more will be layed off in the future. If the reduction doesn't include L.C. the Japanese execs. are the most naive corporate heads on the planet.
LC's belief is that great leadership will always get you through the tough times. If he includes himself in the great leadership category then he is delusional beyond all measure.

I was pissed they were late...and I agree with most of what was said in this thread. But stereotyping him for his race doesn't help your argument. Just makes you seem ignorant...
He should own up and take responsibility for his failures. A main component of the future of this company should include his resignation.
Why would he resign? Did you hear him take any responsibility for all the recent failures? I'm sure he believes this mess is everyone elses fault, not his.
No he didn't take responsibility. He used an old slide from 2008 to say "look how smart we were", we had many things right.
OMG, by 2008 most companies not only knew these events would unfold if they read the wall street journal, they had F-ing PLANS around them.
Why did he show a bad forecasting slide for the erosion of Aricept? Was that a hit TK, or whoever planned this so they can be exited quickly?
Why mention that OB would figure out who goes and stays? Was that to say OB will still have his job?
Why call out Onc as our future? Was that a view into the future that ONC will rule?

Yes on all questions. Isn't it disgusting?
Lonnel talked out of both sides of his mouth at the same time. Proof that nothing at eisai will ever change as long as he's employed there.
