I don't know if females were treated unfairly at Novartis, but how many middle aged white men were included in the 12/10 "displacements"?
Oh please! Enough already! Because you're a "middle aged-man" it's now called the "real discrimination! Take a look around you...Over 90% of MDs are white male, as well over 90% of FLMs are males as well. Don't even try and go there about middle aged men being discriminated against! The whole company revolves around you and your fast track career opportunities!
Changing...most are middle eastern decent and indian in the residency and fellowship programs.
Also, college educated women make 8% more than men of equal experience.
What are you smoking? Here at Novatis all the women in sales are college educated, as you must have the college degree to be hired. FYI, they don't make 8% more than their male counterparts. It's been proven in court, that they made less and continue to make less than men with equal experience in the same role. Again, proven that males have an easier fast track to promotions than women.
When you look at why there are soooo many more men in FLM positions and higher in this company compared to women, you can go back to simple year end ratings. Men have been given higher ratings than women doing the same job with the same sales numbers or better! The women were all displaced due to rankings, but the rankings were faulty, as they were based on male bias...thus discriminatory practices!
I don't see it getting better for women in this company, I see it getting worse! Simple, take a look around you and really see what's going on!
Women make many multiples of male counterparts when activity is indexed for performance and results. Let's not rewrite history. Rankings are always faulty when they accurately reflect differences in gender performance. The real crime is ignoring this situation and permitting it to continue.
