Real picture of a CRA life at JNJ

Hiring process with JNJ was sweet and friendly. Too sweet to be real….they never said;
- A CRA would complete over 200 online trainings within 2yrs due to ongoing SOPs changes/revisions.
- They would load CRAs with 65-70hrs/wk and paid them for 40.
- Almost no study specific training is provided as they promote a “train yourself” policy and they consider attendance to Investigator Meetings too costly. Instead you will listen to poor quality recording!
- Reimbursement policy is cheap!
- Their IBM re-furbished computers suck and whether you like it or not you are expected to complete visits to sites with or without laptop. The laptops are often down due to too many security programs built in the computers!
- Sites are treated as slaves and are pushed to the limit. A noticeable number of sites refuse now to conduct trials for them.
- During team meetings the managers encourage team to voice any concerns they may have - 2 persons did and were never seen again after that point.
- Despite hourly compensation at high $$$$, some independent contractors no longer want to renew their contracts due to……(fill in the blank)
- They received an FDA warning letter (public info) but they remain as arrogant as ever.

So before you sign up with them, think again and if you want to double check the above just contact the many ex-Quintiles and RPS CRAs who took off.

Was with them for a short time. Total nightmare. They have an attitude of “owning people”. Management is disgusting. They lost tons of CRAs in past 2 yrs and the leek continues. Glad I left.
