Re posting of Positions

I am in a small market, and received a call from a recruiter. Recruiter said they were having problems getting enough people to even answer their phones, let alone enough qualified people. I notice the job being re posted on Otsuka web site on the 1st. Waiting for call to schedule interview. Please, for all of those qualified people, don't answer your phone!!! I need the job.

Almost all the positions have now been reposted the first wave of interviews was a flop and Sooky sooky is now pulling the second and third wave in as the interest and candidate pool for the first round was anemic. This is straight from 2 of the hiring managers....

First wave a practice run to help refine skills according to DM. Very few from first round were even considered. This is what they do in Japan. Third time is a charm.

Yes first and sec. wave were a huge waste of everyone's time and the poor naive candidates who actually thought that they were working to come on board this crazy train must have bee n one naive bunch of watermelons.

Ya know what's interestin is I interviewed with Otsuka about 5 years ago. I was flown to Philly afetr all the prelims..and there was quite a few. I remember their were like 5-6 on same flight for same position. Complete cattle call and all day- room to room interviewing process. It was REDICULOUS! Then, to make matters worse, no one took any responsibility for follow-up with candidates after the interviews. We all knoew eachother and were talking and every rep in pool was completely frustrated at the lack of professionalism. Salt in the wound...It took Otsuka like 2 months to pay our travel expenses for the interviews. ICK!

Sooky knows what they are doing fella. Most of these "positions" were pre filled by friends and family, we all get that, and the whole theory about the "practice rounds" is hilarious. Not only is that not true, it is funny as shit! The bottom line is that they over extended on the candidate pool, partly the recruiters fault and partly the companies. At the end of the day though it is irrelevant to Sooky as they have a never ending drawer of resumes as there are so many out of work desperate reps floating around in every major city it is sickening. They can pull 7-8 rounds of fake interviews then hire on the 9th and it would make no differ to them. Welcome to modern day big pharma, or big pharma want to be.

Has anyone been contacted for the account manager neuroscience positions that were posted on June 1? I posted for a few territories and have not heard one word - not even a confirmation email that my resume has been received. I work for a competitor in a hospital position - I thought I would at least get a call from a recruiter.

Actually, "Sooky" as you call them, doesn't know what they are doing. It's only by dumb luck when they actually contact, interview and hire qualified talent. Look back at what they did during their last hiring process. They haven't learned a thing...still the old school, stupid questions and STAR process of the last century. They get what they deserve, no-talent reps that they will micromanage.

Sorry for the problems candidates, We have been overwhelmed with Interviews. If you were not offered directly after the third interview or the Friday after your interviews then consider this your thanks but no thanks letter or email. Good luck to all of you in the future. Perhaps you had a few writing exercises during the interview processes that day. There's sensitivity about criticizing spelling and grammar on this board but, heck, we're talking about interviewing for a job when everything is scrutinized. Take a look at what you wrote and tell me, if you were a hiring manager, would you consider this candidate? It's just 'REDICULOUS'.
