OK, please explain to me....and tell me what to do if I get infected on my personal computer.....

happened at work yesterday on the company computer (mine, obviously) and it shut the company down. I found that I had it within an hour of it hitting, of course the tech guy says it could have been there for weeks with a timer.

I do a lot of web browsing for companies in India and China, so I'm thinking it from one of them.

Oh, I have -- but at this point I'm scared to even click on the informational websites. I'm hoping one of the techno posters on CP can lead me in a direction to make sure I don't get it on my laptop.
