Rankings Don’t add up

Is it just me or do the rankings clearly have a serious flaw to them? It relates to how company goal setting on each product can massively impact your rank creating unfair bag mixes. Just wanted to see if I’m the only person who sees it or not.

If you count the number of representatives that have Trintellix 70% that were able to obtain over 100% to goal- around 190 versus the Vyvanse representatives weighted 70%...only about 80 made over 100% to goal. That is a big variance. Now the Trintellix representatives will be given a bigger split of Vyvanse in the new quarter which will allow their ranking to stay above the Vyvanse representatives because Vyvanse does great when school starts. Trintellix reps betters goals to obtain April-June and only 30%vyvanse weight to hurt them . Now school starts they get 40% weight-hard to catch them in ranking -which is how we are paid/promoted. Switching the weighting doesn’t help much- correcting goals does.

Bingo

a skilled representative would be successful regardless of bag mix. Looks like you’re looking for a reason you aren’t successful. Start by looking in the mirror and ask, would I prescribe this person”s drug?

Great post, thanks!! Unfortunately, many of our sales reps forget their job is to SELL!!

Here we go again...we were told that they “are looking into it”. Here’s the second quarter, same thing. Shire couldn’t seem to get the goaling correct and had 20 years in ADHD. Takeda certainly isn’t going to do it. Perhaps changing the bag mix moving forward will help, but there are 2 quarters of damage already done... very few L-Shire will make Cresset and then low rankings will lead to more L-Shire people getting cut down the next time that layoffs come...just in time for Vyvanse to lose patent exclusivity

Takeda leadership is clueless! Why are Vyvanse scripts down? Maybe because patients can get a 90 day supply from their local pharmacy. Yep not a typo! No not mail order! And yes the coupon applies! Insurance companies are pushing this! That’s 8 less scripts a year per loyal customer!

Takeda thinks it’s best to have four reps selling a drug and giving away so many samples there is no reason for a dr to write it. Maybe if it was in our company’s formulary at a reasonable price they would see scripts from all their depressed employees instead of them just having drs give them free samples.

bag mix has nothing to do with it!

1) vyvanse has some seasonality to it. Just wait for the increase in overall volume come October.

2) the REAL issue is the sales forecast/goal setting. That’s where the cluelessness comes in. The shear number of incorrect addresses or lack of high volume Pediatric docs that were missing was INSANE!

3) this quarter, I mean FQ2 u will see virtually no Vyvanse territories miss goal, because you are not going to lose 5-8% of your history versus a seasonal period.

4) last quarter, I mean FQ1 that’s why you saw only 1/3 of vyvanse territories hit goal- and those were probably higher adult territories. It’s really simple when u look at your actual territory and your actual numbers

Ya’ll... Cresset is 100% wrong. It’s simple math... 70% of a higher goal attainment (Trintellix) will always win. Even the #1 rep in the country for Vyvanse can’t complete. Same math applies to 60/40 bag mix or even a 50/50. They need to bring back the point system to make it fair regardless of products and bag mix weights. I brought it up to my manager and he agrees.

Exactly I was in top 5 and could barley crack silver. They are terrified to retroactively fix it and won’t so they will make changes in the future to solve it. Too bad it will cost reps trips money and possible promotions. If they had any guts they’d retroactively fix it and also continue on with their current system until the change point. So you’d have two different reports. Would it cost them more money and more people going on a trip big time but it would satisfy everyone for once.

What's your territory #? We will fix the problem.
