Raises

Typically the little merit increase we get every year is offset by the higher amount of yearly inflation. Especially when we are seeing an increase in cost to operate our own vehicles. I filled up on Friday for $52 and will need to gas up again by tomorrow afternoon. I'm spending over $350 a month in fuel in my territory and with the talk of inflation in the coming months, what little raise we get isn't even felt.

$350 per month for fuel is very light I spend $200 per week which equates to $800 per month. I’m losing my ass off.

Same
Same. Here. I am spending the same but can not afford to get to the furthest point away because of cost of gas. My is really giving me a hard time but I am not spending 100 in gas to travel 150 miles to see 6 docs. Sorry

exactly spending 10k annually on fuel sucks. Company car is the norm in pharma but no fuel card is down right pathetic and stingy.

I don't get it. Without question the car situation is a HUGE issue with the reps. It's clearly costing people money, even those who were smart with their car purchase. Why the f*#^k isn't the company addressing this? The reality is that good reps ALWAYS have choices. They can find everything Neurocrine can offer AND a fleet car. Is there truly no talk of offering a fleet option? I accepted a position with the company recently. I asked about the car situation and my future DM explained that the allowance was based on geography, supposedly to pay for the equivalent of a small SUV. The fuel was a sliding scale based on current prices? Something like that. I didn't go into it too much, assuming it was fair. I'm now wondering if I'm setting myself up for a mess coming here. I didn't even bother to ask if the allowance is taxed (assuming it wasn't based on the relatively low number). I'm now realizing even in the best cases it's going to be extremely difficult to make it work. I'm rethinking my decision. Appreciate the honest feedback.(also enjoy the vicious attacks telling me how stupid and selfish I am for bringing this up)

Who cares what others think. You are the one that has to live with your decision. Do what is best for you

So now you're finally realizing why we are offered a somewhat higher base salary. Its to cover personal vehicle expenses. Wait until you see how bad the bonuses get here as well, with all this added headcount. What a joke and shame on you for not asking enough questions or doing your diligence before accepting this position.

You're an angry little elf.

It’s not “a somewhat higher base salary” unless you are coming from Teva or Avanir.

I signed my offer today for $190k and $1,300 car allowance. I am answering a question from a week ago when I asked about what is taking so long with the interviews and offers.

Oh right and I just signed mine today for $235k with a $1500 car allowance and I'm just a lowly Ingrezza rep like you. Sounds like you didn't negotiate very well. Oh and I'm getting a 15% company match on my 401K.

Damn, I only got $215k, but my car allowance is more than yours. I got $2 grand a month.
