R&D- Failure at its' best!

This company really needs to hire motivated and talented employees instead of retaining rejects from past acquisitions. Attempting to add value to MNK through robust development work is at best a complete waste of time. R&D is mostly composed of lazy, uninformed, unimaginative and inexperienced individuals. Let's keep on buying crap products that don't sell- oh well, we can always jack up the price!

What do you mean they don't sell? I know that Acthar is taking a hit but I've heard good things about Ofirmev, Inomax, Therakos and the hemostasis products.

Of course the n umbers look good- it's the per unit price that is making above margin, not the number of units sold. We have a pricing model like Valeant- if you don't make the number, just increase the price AND proof- it's magic- you make the number!!!

The biggest problem, aside from senior leadership, is contracting! They are useless!! They hand out director titles to people who can accomplish a friggin thing. I think they all should be fired! People have had to leave because they were losing all their business. Contracting sucks!!

Aside from the obvious personality issues, disciplines of concern include regulatory and quality. I wonder if SR will ever be able to get his act together. His new Reg leader is anything but that- likes to talk to hear himself.

They don't have R&D. They used to, and they developed TussiCaps and Xartemis XR.

Xartemis XR when the country is looking down on opioids, especially long acting ones, physicians getting away from acetsminophen, and when OxyContin (the most popular long acting on the market) doesn't have any acetaminophen in it and has a lot of stigma attached to it. Then MNK sends us after pain management docs first (they laughed at us after being in their offices have moderate success with Exalgo). Then they sent us after PCPs and surgeons. Surgeons didn't want it because it lasted 12 hours. They wanted short acting and for a short while to ease surgical pain. MNK hasn't known what it's doing for eons.

When you have some body like Romano who has no idea what's going on in his organization and is only worried about pleasing the upper management you have a problem. Mark is under the impression all is we'll cause that's all he sees. Only if he looked under the hood.

You have to first, understand the problem, and two, have the balls to fix it. He has opted to let a wound putify, what a leader!!!

Does anyone know when IK will announce the new regulatory organization? It's much needed and would do a tremendous amount of good for him if he could find a good fix to his staffing problems. They keep on hiring subpar individuals, he should be keen on cleaning house before more bad picks are done. IK you need to get it together, it starts with your second in commands. Especially the silly woman who tells everyone she has extensive expertise but has yet to prove herself on any project she supports. You know the one, the yoga expert! Too bad she's not a regulatory expert.

Your department is a huge boulder in the road that we all have to negotiate around.

yep. no body in cso org moved including cso. invisible like our pipeline. why is it ok to hire people say they will move and do not. empty desks and offices they come in on occasion. cso doesn't care since cso is never here either.
