This Quiet Quitting as a symptom, is worth examining. Is this passive aggressive, vengeful act directed at someone or something else that the individual exercising their quiet quitting as their protest has decided that it is not themselves to have part in the fault, but it is something or someone else that is fully responsible? Is it the boss, division, company, entire system that is wrong? And you, the silent protestor/victim are right? Well, that is a bit scary and potentially nihilistic because how could a single person change that landscape and ultimately where does that leave you? When we find ourselves in a situation that is undesirable, finding someone other than oneself to blame is incredibly convenient, absurdly simple, and incredibly manipulative. We would be best served if our immediate reaction to less than desirable scenarios started with the questions of… - How did I put myself here? - Do I have all the answers or is there more to learn about this situation? - Do I have the strength and humility to be wrong before I need to be right?
Our leadership, particularly at the field management level, is pathetic. Useless. Ineffective. Disengaged. Unsophisticated. Lacks creativity.
