No, the new management team keeps drilling us on lab neutrality. They don't want us to convert from one lab to another since it has no sales benefit. Now it does happen that one lab has a rep that won't call back an office due to billing or customer service issues. In those cases I've had to tell an office that another lab also does the exact same ICAP tests with different codes. Your choice nurse on who to send to. Most offices use two labs due to insurance anyway but use one lab more than the other due to a lab rep relationship. But we would never bring in a different lab rep when we know that account is using a lab right now. That would cause too many problems, drama, and our management team would get upset. In the past, our corrupt old reps would switch business from major labs to the smaller labs since they could get away with bigger profiles and not worry about ANY billing issues. Maybe those bad reps were also working for the small labs and that's why it happened. If you're a lab rep now, and you want to partner with us, we'd be happy to do most of the work for you (pay for lunch, promo materials). All we ask is that you call us back if we had questions come up from our shared clients.
