I am probably getting an offer from Serono to sell Rebif. Was looking for serious information about the company, job, product, actual bonus potential, etc. Any legitimate responses are really appreciated! Thanks

You better seriously need a job to come to Serono. Have you read about the product failures over the last few years. How about leadership leaving or getting the ax. East coast is the worst because of poor leadership. One of the senior leaders drinks too much and gets up on stage making an ass of himself. If you take the job you will be working with Zombies. The sales force is demotivated and just collects a paycheck. The customers don't care about Rebif and there has been so much turnover you will just be another rep that last a couple years.

Now if you need a paycheck, take the job.

Good base salary and good insurance (Cigna). Those are the only "pros".
Cons - they messed with our target bonus (4OK - but now a lot of corporate nonsense to achieve it). Neurology is dead - no pipeline. Morale is below average. Senior leadership, including marketing, is a joke. Hopefully, you are working in the west because the east managers all kiss CB's ass and he is a terrible man. Rebif market share shrinking each week, total big pharma mentality now with no upward mobility, company discriminates - there is no diversity (and I am a white female).
Conclusion - if you have a job, stay. If you are unemployed, misery loves company. Hope that helps.

The above is all very true....sadly.

Legitimate bonus potential: 8K/qtr (the company decided to "defer" another 8K into Q1 of next year....most reps make between 90-110% of their targeted bonus)

Product: it's decent and might have been a bigger success if Serono had decided to do any follow up research over the past 10 years. The biggest problem is that unless you live in one of a few select territories....you'll get zero support from the home office. Your key customers will have loyalty to and history with your competition and you'll have nothing to offer them other than studies from a decade ago. It's a war that you can't win.

Marketing truly is terrible....and gets worse all the time. The legal/compliance department run the show and keep anything worthwhile from ever happening.

There are decent perks but they change constantly, so whatever you're promised this year....you probably won't have them next year.

Bottom line, it's a job that would seem to have potential but ends up being unbelievably frustrating. And...we'll all be gone in 24 months.

So, you've been warned.

I was contacted about a sales position in S. FL and was told that it is a good territory not being worked to it's potential. Is this true? I have a job I'm happy with but I'm just wondering if the grass is greener elsewhere. I dont want to leave my current job if it's the territory that's bad not the rep.

What city? Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota or Miami? I know of no openings in S.fl? I would ask a lot of questions in the interview. If u r happy don't go there! I can tell you from experience! All these posts are true. It's a company that could have been great!
