Questions about contract sales

Thinking about contract sales. I was recently laid off from a drug company. Do you guys actually sell or just get paid on signature drops with selected physicians? Do you have sales goals or signature goals? Is training away, do you attend POAs? Just curious, our company only used contract reps for a year once, then we hired most of them after the launch of two drugs. I just remember they didn't have much of a lunch budget.

How about thinking of doing porn or something?

Based on the content of your post, that would seem to suit you best.

Let us know when you make your first film and how we can access it.

Thanks!

Hey pornstar,

Here are the answers for you (in case you don't make it in porn, of course):

1. We do actually sell, loser. What do you think we do all day? Walk into offices, like UPS people and just get signatures? Most of us have more experience than you (some have 20 plus years as hospital reps and some have top honors from top companies), and we are in these jobs because the job market stinks because of the sellouts in Washington.

2. In any sales positions, there are sales goals, so wtf kind of stupid question are you asking?

3. Training depends on the company, its 50/50 whether or not you go away.

You know what?

You really should just do porn.

Why is everyone so rude?? The reality is that some contract sales is strictly driven by sigs. Fortunately, the contract I do is sales driven, which I prefer. It depends on the contract, and you should ask about metrics when/if you interview. I do think that most contracts have much lower lunch budgets.

Really!!! It is amazing how reps that have never been on the contract side can judge so quickly. I am on a contract now and the the reps for the actual company are probably the meanest, most egotistical people I have ever met. I can say that recently, some of those egotistical reps were let go from their company. Do we work? more than most of the reps for the company. Most of the reps have not been in certain offices in months. A contract rep starts calling on a dr and the rep shows up again out of the blue bc they have not doing their job. We, the contract reps are the ones who actually do work.

OP:

It really all depends on the contract. The AZ contract is sales driven, with a nominal lunch budget for offices where lunch is the only way to see your target. In addition to sales goals, there is minor incentives for metrics.

You will use your own vehicle for all Publicis contacts, and receive monthly car allowance and mileage reimbursement.

Been in the contrat business many years and I have never heard of anyone being paid for signature rate outside of a flex force. Calls per day is what all are held to with usually 8 being the minimum. There are qualifers for bonus and that would be where signature rate applies.
