Questions about 100% travel

I understand 100 % travel means gone all week but Im confused why they would pay for people to be in hotels and rent cars all the time then to hire people in that territory. My recruiter said 100 % travel and that the territory is SE Alabama down.I live in Orlando FL.. but she did also say that they use you when someone is on maternity leave or something happened and they need you.. So is it always away from home.. or flexible 100% just in case? has anyone ever had a 100% travel job and is it really 100%??

Thanks

And you come on CP to ask that question? Tha't the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Why don't you just ask the recruiter? But the fact that you came on here with that kind of question means you probably don't have a chance in hell of getting the job anyway.

Thanks for your encouragement douch! I was asking if anyone has done it for the company and whats the point.... I was interviewing and didn't find it appropriate. Don't reply if its not the answer I want. !!!!

Let's say you live in Dallas. You get hired for this gig. You may spend 6-8 weeks calling on docs in a Houston territory, then you go to Tulsa for 12 weeks, then you work in Phoenix for 8 weeks. Wherever they need you to fill in for a rep on leave or an empty territory to be filled later (maybe they then hire you full time for the empty territory??). You live in a motel out of a suitcase and rent cars, you don't move to the territory, you VISIT it for a while and the location changes often. Does this answer your questions?
