Huge dividends? Let's take peek at some of those Quest pay checks. Oh boy look, I made $110k last year......big deal. And of by the way I don't know one Quest rep that is happy here.....this place sucks and I'm a top producer.....welcome aboard

Let me translate. "Adding value at every turn" = Kickbacks to those clients who will send you Medicare work. You are going to do very well at Quest Diagnostics. Just try to be a little less obvious.
 






Are all SLP employees attending the Quest meeting? If they aren't, why were all invited to attend?

The deal was just inked but there was no doubt that it would be approved. Therefore, Quest has been able to do a lot of the groundwork on integration (takeover) plan in advance.

Everyone is getting invited and will be required to sign new non-competes that will be stricter and more specific to cover Quests' backside. Then positions will be offered where they are available. If one person doesn't accept a position then maybe another person will. It just makes sense to get everyone together and do this all at one time.

Quest will not be creating a lot of positions to fit in the SLP employees. There will be Sold-us employees flying home without jobs next week.

It's really not a huge expense for a company like Quest to fly everyone in to a centralized location to get this done. It's factored in as part of the cost of the integration and will be offset by the huge amount of money saved by cutting so many Sold-us employees loose next week.

Also, remember this - Quest has no obligation to pay out the remainder of Sold-us reps commissions and will save a minimum of $2,000,000 by not paying them out. That is how the game is played.

Back to your original question - the real question is just how many SLP reps will fly home without jobs or having accepted positions they really don't want to be in?


Is the company line to customers still, "nothing is going to change, the name isn't going to change, where the testing goes isn't going to change, your rep isn't going to change, ...."?

The difference between you and I is I speak the truth and you speak silliness. Quest just doesn't pay what Solstas top reps are used to making. Money is very important to most sales reps. If there are reps who seek a more stable company then it will be good for them. Don't continue to mislead the way Weavil did. Quest is asking for non-competes to be signed to protect itself not for the good of the signee. If the rep has doubts then I urge not to sign. Remember Weavils promise.....did he come through or did he use you. Don't be fooled again. I mean no harm to anyone. There are posters on this site that thing of only themselves.

Pretty good assessment here. Most won't make the cut long-term. Many will be kept as a transition and then let go in 3-6 months. Quest might keep 15%-20% of Solstas' sales and service team when it's all said and done.

Any sales rep worth his/her salt won't want to be a part of Quest and have their income limited to that degree. Hunters want to hunt! It's in their blood.

Ask the top Quest reps what they make and compare it to what top Solstas reps made. The difference is huge and you know it! Stop thinking of yourself! I've seen guys/gals like you come and go. It's your turn to go now. Good luck to all the reps out there. There are options out there. Quest is a strong company but a lousy place for good sales people who want to earn and have their voice heard. Wow you are in denial. There are some top dollar earners here that are eating crow in a few months when they see they will be making less than half. Including your amazing team.
