Putting in Notice?

I am putting in my two weeks notice in field sales, and I have heard that once I put in my two weeks they will immediately pull me from the field and take away the car. Is this true? Will I be paid for these two weeks? Any info is appreciated!

Mostly you will be asked to "stop seeing customers". You may have the car for a while or until one of the chain smoking drivers hired by fleet calls you up and comes and gets it.;) Good luck in your next endeavor...

We are all paid two weeks in advance already. The ONLY way you will be kept on any additional days would be if you are "retiring" 80+ points and are a true asset to your DSM.

These prior posters are wrong.

I am a former Lilly employee and I gave 2-weeks notice when I left (less than a year ago).

If you are going to a competitor, they will tell you to stop seeing customers. However, you will remain an employee and retain your car for the next two weeks. You are still an employee and will administrative things to close out (samples, IT, etc) over the next 2 weeks.

They will take the car on your last day of employment.

It's case by case. Some managers will have you work your last two weeks and others will have you just compile lists and admin stuff on your territory for the next rep.

Best of luck!

I just put in my notice as well. Thought I'd go get a real job. One where I don't have to hang my head in shame when I tell folks what I do. Or lie to medical professionals about the wonder drugs that are not wonderful at all. It's just not worth it.

I just lie and tell people I am either in health care, or medical device sales. Pharma sales, especially Lilly sales, is a horrible place to be.
