The Big 11 is a far tougher Basketball conference than it is a football conference, because there is actually competitive basketball talent there. In football, one team dominates, and teams recruiting their usual stomping grounds puts them at a huge competitive disadvantage versus the SEC or Big 12. The best players come from the Texas to Florida corridor and the West Coast. Basketball isn't that way.
