Therefore, to be ethicly consistent, both of these two should either endorse Mitt Romney for President, OR, apologize for their suggestions that members of the LDS church are not worthy of holding public office, and beg for forgiveness from non-liberal voters.

Aside from the fact that Bishop Romney is totally unfit to be President, for many other reasons, I believe he would not be able to keep his benighted and bewildering beliefs from influencing his behavior. That's just another reason to oppose him. I would rather we have leaders who don't need an Invisible Friend in the office with them. If they must, I would prefer their Holy Eclipse were as benign as possible - Which rules out the Invisible-Sky-Thingy-In-Charge who speaks through a hat with the aid of magic stones, thank you very much.
