In case any openings are posted for a promotion, and you're considering throwing your hat in the ring know this: They've already decided who they want if it's internal. Unless you got a call telling you they want you, don't waste your time posting. It's a box they have to check to appear ethical, but you stand no chance. Now if you're smart and they are threatened by you, you'll be told you can't post and you'll be given some bogus reason why you don't qualify. And if the one they want doesn't post, they'll go external. They think this isn't known. Given they've done it for years, it's just how promotions roll at ALKS and will until they clean house and bring in quality leadership.
 






You are 100% correct, the nepotism of this company runs so deep that only those on the inside circle are promoted. If you look at the reps that have been promoted to the position of Executive it’s not because of their performance it’s because of their connection to the inner circle. Good employees who have objected to this have been removed black balled and silenced, The Alkermes CULT is strong, remember keep your head down play the game and don’t cross those on the inner circle, they are all players of a chess match for a paycheck and control. Just remember Vivitrol will be generic in 2 years unless the lawyers give up another year, the CNS drugs are pathetic and Leadership is inept,
 






100% Correct the nepotism runs deep in this company. The Cult of this company runs deep, if you are on in inner circle you will be taken care of if not you will be banished, tarnished and ignored. Seriously there are some seriously incompetent leaders promoted in this company just look at newly appointed DBLs and Directors. GK has not had an Original thought in years, JH can not say anything unless he reads it from a slide, TN is a pawn to RP. Reps promoted have played the system when their territories barely pay their salaries. But they adhere to the preferred circle guidelines.
 












No one is gonna resign unless they have another position to go the golden handcuffs are to restrictive, the comforts of a fat paycheck with no requirements other than to blow up the leadership egos, stroke their greatness and pay homage to the great leadership before them. So those that have a very secure set of knee pads with a lot of padding will ride the narcissistic ways for as long as they can because they have done nothing to secure their financial freedom. The way of America honor those that can’t because those that can do the work!

Perfect example is the WI DBL position which has already been filled. They sure didn't follow the HR process replacing TD up there. I don't get a sense of fair playbat this company anymore. Not since Mark S left. You're vibe attracts your tribe.

Trust no one at this company, there has been so much collusion over the past 6 years to get people out and get rid of people so others can be moved into “leadership” roles. There is not one region or district that is not absolutely nepotistic. How do you all think KK got the DBL position! The collusion in other districts started years ago when then DBL and TBM colluded to oust a managers, RDs and other representatives while manipulative reps were promoted and put on pedestals when in fact their territories have not grown in years. The inner circle is strong with this company because it is not about sales it’s about paychecks for leadership. If you are not looking start because you do not want to allow this inept leadership to have control over you! Why have so many good reps left because leadership SUCKS!

Managed markets is exactly the same. Prime examples are Adam, Glenn and Alan. All unfit, unprepared and yet promoted.
 






Federal Accounts is not any better, but incompetence is a promotable characteristic. Mediocre rep, promotes to DBL, then micromanages his team, but exclaims how good he is constantly. Then is promoted to Director of Federal Accounts! Are you kidding me! I know everyone is getting a nice fat paycheck but the blind leading the blind is amazing. This is a bad car accident that no one can look away from.

KK got her promotion becuase she played it smart and polished the right knob. It just goes to show that, for every pig, there is a pig sticker. That can go in either direction you want it to on the GK-KK highway!

GK is about to get hit with a major lawsuit for discrimination. His days are numbered.
 


















I guard that if GK gets fired then MA is involved in setting him up for the fall! If anyone trusts MA on any level you are a fool! He is by far the most manipulative person on the payroll. Mark my words there have been a number of people who have gotten the knife in the back from a calculated and tactical move and manipulation by MA. He has gotten those above him terminated so he can move up! Then promoted those around him to do his bidding. He hates confrontation because it shows he is not the Alkermes Golden Boy that everyone thinks he is and everyone might see the real manipulator he is.
