I cannot believe how far we have fallen. I have seen promotions based on family connections within Merck board of directors. Promotions based on complete phony ass kissing. Promotions based on fear, hire the shit head, how threatening can he/she be ? But now, we are starting to see promotions based on outright sex scandal.

I guess we should not be that suprised, Directors in HQ like a nice ass as well as anyone. Does HR screen anything anymore ? What are the minimal credentials to become a marketer ?
 












I have to say as a professional female, I am amazed at the mini skirts and cleavage at Upper Gwyndd. Young ladies parading around with everything hanging out like the were ready for a night on the town.

Word on the street is that is that there is noookie going on in certain back corner offices and restrooms. These people better watch, I am hearing this involves some significant names in HQ.I have also heard of the wild middle of the night stuff going on at sales meetings.

Go to the demographics of the last several layoffs. You know NO females 30 or younger with bust sizes greater than 36, regardless of tenure,rankings, or sales results, were ever laid off.
Great new book. " The art of the sale" by Philip Delves Broughton. Pages 93-95. Pharma " sales has 0 to do with "sales" . Once the most respected of professions, now ranked below used car.
But don't take my word for it. Just go on an interview outside the industry.

What do you mean by "new"??? The zipper club is alive and well throughout all DCO'S in every division. They rule by bullying the crap out of their CTL's and reps. They coddle and reward their favorites. They delight in demeaning those they "dislike". Most hate and disrespect the women managers and tenured reps. The "zipper" is not necessarily associated with the lower anatomy, but with the abuse and power they inflict on a mental level. Ie, Remedial training, DEMOTION, sales and efforts are never good enough, do this or else, etc.
Merck Needs to clean house and get business leaders that understand the products, market conditions, and how to treat people with RESPECT. It will never happen.
 




I have found there are 2 types of sociopathic leaders at Merck. Those that bully to get what they want and those that buy what they want if you know what I mean. Check the expense reports, phone records, calendars etc. and it is clear what some are "up" to. There are some sick twisted bastards around here. The funny thing is they are relatively easy to spot. Money and power never go out of style and make men kiss ass and keeping with the original point of this thread - women drop to their knees.
 








Cut to the chase. How can anyone take this org seriously when directors are hiring women based on what they look like. Hey HR, do you ever check credentials ? Should a women become a CTL without prior management experience ? HR, do you know how many displaced and credible ctls are out there with proven track records ? Do you care ? How in hell does someone get a marketing job without ever being a sales rep ? Without any other HQ rotations ?

With this kind of crap going on, we should all just give up on our careers at Merck.

It's amazing, this crap has been going on for years and now somebody is talking about it. What happened did you pull your head out of the sand?

Was it 15 or more years ago when we did the "Vioxx Field Expansion"? Every new female hire has a certain bust size, 99% were blonde or dyed blonde, etc. Even the docs said they all became so interchangeable and alike that they could not remember which one worked for Merck and which one for Pfizer. :)
 




Did you ever notice how any/all comments made about sex scandal immediately turns away form HQ and goes down to rep breast size ? HQ losers at work deflecting the truth.

The reason is, HQ is full of silver spoon losers who get to still act like on in college on spring break. Mommy and daddy got them into merck via favors from board members. They get to cruise on through with no credentials...and promote their friends.

What a joke, no criteria...just have a good time. Must be nice to be a silver spooner and never have to achieve anything to get promoted every two years.

Not jealous, just disgusted at this pathetic org.
