Now we know why St Jude is pushing non-rechargeable's so much. Is this ethical? Show your docs.

St Jude made a significant change to almost all non-rechargeable IPG's for their patients due to upper management incentivizing reps with commission kickers. Is that ethical and what would DOJ think of their tactics?

So are you saying they are giving reps more commission dollars to promote their non-rechargeable IPG's? I would do the same if I was senior mgmt due to the fact that non-rechargeable IPG's are replaced more often vs rechargeable IPG's so you create a nice annuity for your business. Profits before patients make sense to me!
The Proclaim will last 4.5 years as long as it's programmed on "nominal" settings and only turned on for 12 hours a day.
Payors will have a field day with SJM if their non-rechargeable IPG's start being replaced every 2-3yrs.
It will be worth it if the patients get to enjoy the extra 5% VAS reduction from using burst.
Just watch when the barrage of complaints come from patients being promised there IPG will last way longer than it will... BURST power consumptions issues and rep longevity calculator will be exposed in due time. Just watch!
How well does the ipod touch work as a controller? Anyone have feedback?
