procedure #'s for single site lap chole

15 minute procedure 45 minutes of dock time. Not going to happen.

Unless the SILS set up is different, it doesn't take 45 minutes to dock the robot. Still, using a robot for lap chole is the epitome of clinical overkill and gratuitous cost. The Intuitive marketing machine is the best in the business, so this one will interesting to watch.

Competitive rep here....the SILS/Gelpoint devices are proven and way more cost-effective than pulling a nurse and tech away from another room where they could be more productive for 30-40 min. Or I could talk about how 97% of dr's currently doing lap choles hate the single site devices and don't believe in them. As one surgeon who just met with the Intuitive rep told me "they're really trying to get us trained on this robot, but there are no realistic applications for the robot in anything except GYN & Uro"....and we all know how much respect the GYN surgeons have in the surgical world compared to a doc that does cardio/general/etc. lol

WRONG!! Combine Single-Site with the Vessel Sealer, Endowrist Stapler, Firefly Florescence Imaging and 3D Vision from a comfortable chair.............THOSE are serious realistic applications bro!
