I am assuming all the equipment we get has to be returned when the contract is complete right? I know that may be a stupid question, but this is my first time doing anything like this. I was just wondering, because everything we get is new, so what do they do with the old stuff when you return it?

Umm...the Lenovo tablet they sent me is certainly not new. One corner is cracked, and worse, it's running Windows Vista, if you can believe it!
 






The computers are definitely not always new, you will return that and iPad. The printer at least in my experiences has been an item we were to keep. I have three now
 












It is just the way all of my contracts have worked. Computers have company software on them, and are more valuable pieces of hardware. I was told on my first contract that returning printers is not financially worth it. Many get broken during transit, and to redistribute them after maintenance and such is not worth it. My current contract they even sent everyone a new printer partway through (maybe an IT support thing...unsure) and where told to keep the old one as well. Trust me the build up of printers in my basement attests to the fact that, at least on many contracts you keep them.

You have to remember this is PSS. Being smart is not a requirement to work here. These dimwit fucks had be spend 2 1/2 times more to ship the old printer last year than it was worth. There is a reason this place is a laughing stock of the industry.
 






My iPad is new, along with the printer. laptop is kinda ghetto. I can see us keeping the printers, too much money hassle to send back. iPad would be nice to keep, everything coming new including accessories.

I worked for Two contract companies and never did they want the printers back. They are cheap in bulk and become obsolete in a few years. Printers are like shavers. The blades are expensive, once you have the shaver. Buy three printer cartridges and they cost more than the black plastic paperweight. When something snaps or breaks in the printer, you are lucky to get the same model so you don't have to get new ink cartridges ASAP. They want the $700+ iPads and computers though and battery. Apple doesn't give deep discounts, even bulk purchases.
 












Computers and tablets always go back. I have had the option to buy my computer before, but that was only once and the computer were coming off lease and were pretty much boat anchors at that point. The printers are about 50/50 sometimes they want them back others don't. I think it is nuts when they want the printers back because it almost always cost more to ship them than what they are worth.
 






I collect everything when reps I manage leave. Printers included. I have the outgoing rep meet me and bring the printer along with the iPad, laptop, bag, wall and car chargers, extra stylus, and other bits and pieces in the check out list.

Um...no I stayed up late because of all the admin work that needs to get done. And I collect all those things from the outgoing rep because I'm simply doing my job. Are you all bent out of shape just because you didn't get to keep the damn printer??? Lol you are extremely pathetic. Internet tough guy, can't say what you post to someone's face. How about I smash your nose in and cut your ears off to feed to my pit bull.

It was posted just after 11 pm. I would hardly say they stayed up "all night" to post a two sentence post at 11 pm.

YOU are the joke and loser. You either didn't get a job you interviewed for or were a terrible rep and wasn't wanted back: and now you're bitter and pathetic. Get over it and move on.

Sorry I don't BELIEVE you are a DM. I have been in pharma sales for over 20 years with various companies. Printers have not been returned for as long as I can remember. Maybe your real DM asked you to return yours so they can give it to a family member. No one other than a broke student would be dumb enough to want an ink jet printer.
