Mr./Ms. Tekturna - aka awesome sales rep
I was here when Diovan was launched. Those of us who launched it and sold it before your ass came to town was in the same boat as you are now with Tekturna. Cozaar and then Diovan were the FIRST ARBs on the market...we had to teach docs how an ARB can be more beneficial than an ACE. This was BEFORE Ace's went generic. As for paying docs, etc... EVERYONE did it so it was an equal playing field, just like today is an equal playing field that you can't do anything for docs.
Get off your almighty high horse thinking you are doing so much! If you are such a great sales rep, then why are Tekturna sales tanking? Tekamlo not being used or Amturnide? The climate has changed for all of us with cheaper generic alternatives, economy, pharma guidelines, etc...
Sales is all about connecting with your customer, building trust, creating a relationship and selling thru that relationship....Novartis, or pharma for that matter, does not allow us to do that, Hence we are not REAL sales people but information / managed care updaters!
I would be happy to take a severance package and leave this place, perhaps its the kick in the ass some of us truly need; however, all those years of making good dough on Diovan doesn't allow that! Damned if you leave, Damned if you don't!
