Pretty sure layoffs end of February

National meeting in January moved to March. Reps will be certified on products in March & not January. All reviews are to be completed in January. Paydates moving to every 2 weeks which will make layoff easier. They have told us layoffs are coming - however; I think more drastic than first indicated with the fates of Ilaris and Arcapta. We might have been able to hold on had these products been approved as planned. Pretty sure it is February.

I'm pretty sure this poor excuse of a company will continue layoffs at least a couple times a year from here on out... it's what they do. Get used to it and quit bitching about it. It's part of the job. Keep your head down and work hard so that at least you can live with yourself when it is all over. You will probably find yourself on the receiving end of the corporate axe either way, in time.

One thought, last year with the big layoff there was so much buzz in making sure your vacation time was entered before December. Well, layoffs happened Dec 4 and I'm sure they didn't want to pay out on any unused vacation time so that is why they made sure it was in the system before December. Now, this time around, why would they have layoffs in Feb? Why not Dec?

i agree with Feb/March time frame. No one knows that the NAtional meeting is in March. I have also heard April May. Makes sense that they will have the mapping in March with new territories to start May 1st which is the beginning of the second trimester.
Bi monthly pay has nothing to do with layoffs its the way most companies do it
If these layoffs were occuring in Dec, we would already know via the leaks like we did last year what was going on.

Last year you got paid for your unused December vacation if you were notified that you were going to be laid off during your call on December 2nd.

They are paying 2 times per month because of the ongoing lawsuits in WV and many other states. There are laws in these states that say that as a full time employee, you must be paid at least twice per month. Novartis has admitted guilt in the case and therefore they are starting to pay twice/month. Those of us who signed up for the suits stand to make some big cash!

End of January, layoffs take effect Feb. Paid through April , national meeting May.

Who will go , any 1-2,2-1, 1-1 over the past 2 years. Any possible legal issues will also be downsized example if you are investigated for expenses even if findings support you the company will still downsize not worth the legal problem. Reps with a history of a 2-2 will lose the tie breaker.

3-4 reps per territory managers having 2-3 pods so 8-12 reps depending on the amount of sales that is produced.

If you have a solid 2-3,3-2,3-3 rating you should be ok, anything less be worried because of the amount of layoffs 40%.

In House because of the OU's becoming one they will also be hit, regions will be combined so MD's. VP's also on the hot seat

Good luck to all

Thanks. I'm going to have to hang my hat on this one because you are "pretty sure".

Do us all a favor and shut the f*ck up. Layoffs will happen, sometime between now and the next six months. That can't be anymore obvious, but to pick a time...oy.

WTF any idiot can figure this one out
As far as timing not sure you are correct about end of January. It will be Feb/Mar time frame when announcements are made to take reps thru end of trimester which is end of April
Also there are many pods in my state that only have 3-4 reps so what per se do you think will happen then?? I think some areas of the country will certainly be harder hit than others

You shut up - you are the one looking like an idiot! I never said it was fact. I'm just passing along what I know and I am betting, in more ways than one, I know much more than you know. I'm just saying...

Are you the one who said that paydates are now every 2 weeks because it will make the layoffs easier. Give me a break. If that is the information you are passing along, then you are getting some pretty lame info. National meeting will be in May not March. Why do you think they are doing Awards at the January meeting. Layoffs will coincide with the end of the trimester which is April. SO they will make the announcement whenever but new alignments will be as of May 1. Just sayin!!
