Yeah and it looks like both KI and PRI sales forces are going to be stuck working for Amgen! I was hoping for the severance...not such luck.

I was to, guess I will have to start looking around. The guy actually sounded like a jerk. I am not sure anyone at the higher levels will stick around long with his attitude. At least I can take my time looking.

That's exactly what I was thinking. They can't keep people in my area due to micromanagement. Not hard to see why after listening to this guy. What an ego!!

I'm field based and I would take the severance...even though it's weak but I'd take the time off and look for the right job...unless they truly leave us alone this place will be unrecognizable in a few months. Local Amgen rep called me today and said they work with their managers at least once a month for 2-3 days and there is a lengthy field activity report that the managers fills out and apparently it is intense.

Amgen had a monopoly and hence made billions for over 20 years- with no competition.
What all of you will learn is that all of these Amgen types are first class idiots!
They could totally f up a business plan and still make billions due to epo.
They ruined the anemia market in dialysis and have plenty of law suits over their
increase dose with no medical or clinical evidence.

Well the reality is you will never see or have to work for TH so you shouldn't worry about it. He is so high up the food chain that he will not be doing anything that impacts our day job. He will let the Onyx team run the business and we will probably not see much change day to day. If you are good and drive performance then you will be independent as he stated when he came to visit. If you are off track then expect to be inspected. The reason they want to keep us independent is because they don't want to screw us up. WAKE UP AND GO TO WORK.

What flavor kool aid are you having this morning? He will put his stamp on Onxy. Might not be for another 6 months but his ego is just too big to let us be independent for long.

I don't think anyone at Amgen, let alone TH, is simply going to "let Onyx run the business." They'll play it like that until the deal closes and after that Onyx will cease to exist and everyone will be Amgen from there on. My guess: Jan 1, 2014. So <6 months before Onyx is Amgenified.
