Those that have Kaiser accounts have an extreme unfair advantage over the rest of the nation. This was obvious when the majority of the winners were only coming out of one state: California. This needs to be addressed. I've been in the industry myself now for over 20 years. In those years, There have been times I have been on the stage and off. In general, they have been fair and expected. This is the very first year I have ever seen a circus fiasco like this. With everything this company has put all the sales reps through and the state of OFIRMEV, they really shit on the real sales leaders of this organization. It's hard to get motivated and inspired when the people you admire, work with on your team that sold a lot of OFIRMEV and weren't up there. I concur that when you look at the individuals that are truly bring in the $ for Mallinckrodt, they weren't given rightfully deserved credit. I'm not one of those individuals but aspire to get the kind of sales they achieve. I have two on my team that blew out the numbers and neither made it on stage.
I quietly typed in every winner on my cell phone the night of the awards and then went back to my room and looked at sales numbers. For the majority of winners, my jaw dropped! How could these individuals with the sales they achieved get Presidents Club? So many had sales significantly lower than the rest of the organization. When you are constantly battling price and pharmacy is cutting budgets left and right, then the people that are yielding the highest sales should have received that award. JD said it himself. The people bringing in and making the most money should be getting the award! DUH!
I agree with the earlier post. In this industry, sorry just isn't good enough anymore. They raised the price. Sorry! If you are a company of integrity and want to keep your people, then you just don't say sorry. You do something about it.
