Presidents Club

The trip is to your local unemployment line...according to sources:

1. You will arrive to the Unemployment line via the nearest bus stop (since you wont have a car) on April 3rd

2. You will stand in line for meals (usually a brick of cheese).

3. Everyone on the trip will get food stamps in an envelope to spend at your leisure.

4. You will then be greeted by your activities director (i.e. the administrator who is assigned your unemployment case).

5. Case Manager will assess your abilities (either in food service industry, or driver for Enterprise).

6. You will then be transported to your sleeping arrangements at the local Hotel or for you Cornerstone members, to the local YMCA/YWCA. Perhaps even a hostel!

7. You will be given your own room this year with a leaky toilet and a community shower. Bed bugs are extra. You are not allowed to put these on your expense report.

8. You will then be picked up at 6:45am at bus stop, since you normally don't wake up until 10:00am to get up for your pharma job, this will be new to many of you!

9. You will start your catering delivery job at 7:30 getting lunches gathered for those reps who kept their jobs and are now laughing at you. Dont worry youll get last laugh when they are let go within the next 1-2 years. By that time you should be promoted to assistant pre cook making $22,000/year.

10. For lunch you will be given 30 minutes to do what you like (i.e. scrounge money from your linted pockets to get a coffee or donut)....no more lunches on Novartis' dime.

11. Back to work and mopping kitchen and prep area in restaurant. Having an illegal immigrant telling you "Hey, amigo you missed a spot!!!"

12. At bus stop around 5:45-6:00pm, we know you have never stayed out to work past 3:30pm, and yes it is normally dark around this time.

the nice thing is...this awards trip will never end!!! Unlike the 7 day fiesta you are used too!!!

Thanks again for double digit growth in 2011 and Congratulations on your award- you deserve it! Good day and Good selling!

Sincerely,

Joe Jimenez & Dan Vasella

Read the fine print...last years winners were not still employed at time of award, thus no payout to those winners.

This year, your separation date is May 1st (you're still in 60 day window thru June 2nd however, but that is a different employment status).

Since the trip is mid may, if you won and get laid off, no trip or Bravo points.

I think the amount that will no longer employes will probably be small but i think they will get the bravo points since they were employed at the time the winners were announced

Wrong! You are considered a fulltime employee, during the WARN period. You will meet the requiremnt of "being employed with the comapny".

It was announced at yesterday's meeting on Long Island that you will receive $4000 grossed up if you win but you are laid off. You will receive $5000 grossed up if you win ISE but are laid off.

Nice to think that a firm would lay off someone that wins ISE - the top 1/2 of 1%

That means one of two things:
1) The consultants are bigger idiots that we all thought (oh, that would be a big surprise!)

2) Confirms the sales data used to pick the winners is as f;ed up as we all know - and the leaders are verifying that fact!
