President Obama - The Gift That Keeps On Giving

This graph says it all. It shows just how much worse off we are under obama policies. Note, too, the numerous reports that say the rate will stay above 8% through 2014, something that has not happened in the history of these records. I don't think this was the 'historic' presidency people were after!

the numerous reports

Those aren't reports, those are the predictions of some. The facts show the highest unemployment during the Reagan years.

Yep, the first TWO years of Reagan were really bad. Coming off of Carter, inflation and interest rates were out of control. Most charge cards were 16-20%. I had just finished college and bought a used car with a 25% interest rate.

But, the difference is what happened next. Reagan policies along with the dot com era saved the day. With obama, you're looking at this high of unemployment for at least three more years, just with the idiotic policies he has put into place so far. No where in our history has it stayed that high for that long.

So you and Rock can be delusional and blame Bush and give obama a pass but it won't fly in the voting booths, still a full year away. By the time Reagan ran for reelection, he could show the changes in direction. Oidiot won't be able to say the same.

Great post. Right on point.

I had planned to buy a house that year but the mortgage interest rate was going to be 17.5.

I don't necessarily think his policies are working yet but how can you say, 'you're looking at this for 3 more years' when it hasn't happened yet?' Also how come when it's a Republican, it's coming off the previous President (Carter) but when it's a Democrat, that logic applied to Bush is rejected?' Hmmm?

Let's make a deal. I can't speak for others, but if you will stop blaming Bush I'll be happy to stop blaming Bush...er...Clinton...er...Carter...er...whomever.

Even your Fearless Leader is on record as accepting the responsibility for his failure and agreeing that under the current circumstances he would end up being a one-term president. Oh, I know...he had his fingers crossed behind his back, right?

I'm not the one saying it will be three more years. It is leading economists from both sides of the aisle.

Yeah, he gets some grace period but if, by re-election time, he hasn't turned a corner, then he should be voted out of office. It is quite simple. Hell, people would even accept him being a disaster if he could show some signs of improvement based on his policies. But no, shovel ready jobs weren't shovel ready. He can claim he ended the recession but people in the real workd aren't buying it. Unemployment is stubbornly high. The housing market is stagnant. Debt is outrageous. There's not one economic or jobs result he can stand on. Reagan could.

Unemployment jumps again this week.

Thanks heaps, Barry.

Naturally the Libbies will blame GWB for it.

I won't blame anyone for it.

I will, however, point out that you rejoicing in this news (see: the title of the thread) is the main reason that President Obama will be re-elected in 2012. Anyone who thinks that rising uneployment is a 'gift' is sick and twisted. The voters are smart enough to know that republicans have wanted this President to fail since dayo ne and have put their party first, country second for the past three years. . . That spells defeat for whatever candidate the GOP throws out there next year.

You lose again.

Of course! It's no one's fault, really!

You seriously think there was rejoicing in the title of this thread? Man, you need to go on vacation and get a break.

You're also dead wrong with the tired refrain about party first, country second. The fact is, those who wanted this idiot to fail were BECAUSE they put country first. Obama is not proud of America, does not think we are exceptional, and wants us to be like every other nation. Hell, if we became a third world country, he would have succeeded! People who want him to succeed absolutely want America to fail!

Country First! End Obamanism!

More brilliant satire from you . . .

You have sunk to some new lows lately - I really expect better from you - Your hate for President Obama has skewered your thought process and you have now officially jumped the shark.

Cheers!

I honestly believe that if Obama could have his way he would try to rename the United States to: The Peoples Socialist Republic of North America.
