Pregnancy descrimination. Legal question. Sue??

Background. Had a baby was off for 8 months total do to complications and maturnity leave. My manager fought the additional time and expressed several times I have entitlement issues. He made the job next to impossible by putting in unreasonable rules that I question.

I made a written hr complaint explaining the descrimination against protected leave.

He made my life miserable for the past 6 months. The icing on the cake--- he turned me in for diversion of samples. With an audit from a third party and a half day interrogation they have nothing on me. NOTHING!!!!

I feel this is complete retaliation.

What do you think?

What a jerkoff. Entitlement??? Yeah, you are entitled to medical leave if your doctor finds it medically necessary. I had a similar experience with my bed rest and then time off after the baby. And I know another two ladies who also had horrible experiences regarding bed rest while at NVS. No wonder NVS got sued. Too bad that your mgr is doing this even after the lawsuit. Makes me sick! Make sure you document everything with a date and time. Also seek medical help if you are depressed from his actions. I would have a talk with him and say that you feel that he is upset from your time off. Ensure him that it could not be helped. Bring up the sample audit and ask him if there is anything else he is concerned about. Then say that you are happy to be back at work and that you hope you both can move forward.

I would also call SWH law firm and ask them. Has HR contacted you regarding your complaint?

It is retaliation and you should create a paper trail by sending him emails especially one reminding him that you had no sample issues.

Sure.

Why do you think you can take 8 months off and not be behind the rest of your team? What do you want a "Welcome Back Party"? How do you think you can compete if you take an extended leave -regardless of the reason. No doubt there is work to be done - so get to it - or leave if you're not up to it.

You are probably a jealous male who could not walk one second in a woman's footsteps, flat shoes or heels, or a woman who has put off having a baby for her career. The fact is that working and pregnancy and motherhood are unique situations, and there are laws to protect both employer and employee. Her scenario is not uncommon, and if someone is making a difficult work environment for any reason, both parties have a right to legal action, or meetings with human resources to work it out. The important fact is whether it is because of the pregnancy and motherhood, or another reason.

I'm not upset about the work load I'm upset about the poor treatment being told I have entitlement issues and being slandered for miss using samples. The worst thing that can happen to a rep is this acqusation!!! It is not enjoyable being investigated and interrogated for hours because a manager doesn't like the amount of time you took off work during protective leave.
