Any suggestions on where to get Prednisone (any strength)?

No, I am a consultant, currently working with two Veterinary Clinics.

A licensed veterinarian should have no trouble ordering it or writing a prescription for it.

Thanks. Ordering has not been an issue...receiving it has. Both clinics I work with have been backordered. I'm not sure why, since no one else seems to know about a backorder issue.

I was beginning to be embarassed by my posting, looking for Prednisone. I was getting responses as if there were no issue, or that I was trying to get Steroids for myself. The following comes from the Americal Society of Health System Pharmacists, and makes me feel better that I am NOT the only one with this issue:

"Estimated Resupply Dates

Cadista has prednisone tablets on back order and cannot estimate a release date.
Roxane has prednisone 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg in 100 count and 500 count on back order and the company estimates a release date in mid-August 2013.
Qualitest has prednisone 20 mg tablets in 100, 500, and 1000 count on back order and the company cannot estimate a release date.
Watson has all prednisone tablet presentations on allocation.
West-Ward has prednisone 5 mg tablets 1000 count on allocation. All other presentations are on back order with an estimated release date of 4th quarter 2013."
