Earnings are low with magnificent talk of how the days fell on the calendar.
Announcement that Gold is off the board and sold all stock (in balance good and he gets one final cash out at the higher price as part of the deal).
Announcement of a sales partner in Europe and some fancy talk that basically says that they are going to consider a sales partner in the US. This would be very good as the sales force is so darn weak now. BP might well agree to that rather than a buyout as the liabilities in the company are still great even if MG is gone.
Altogether, the low earnings carries the day, but the other items help establish a floor that's higher than earnings announcement alone.
Not so startling, falling after ECs is what this company does best. They should start having them only annually to preserve shareholder value.
