Pre Sez He'll Give Regulatory Relief

I sincerely hope it's not just window dressing to placate the huge percentage of American's who can't stand what he's been doing.

I understand that there are thousands of new government regulations that haven't even gone into affect yet, and that 80% of the Dodd-Frank and Obamacare regulations haven't even been written yet.

Obama will probably end up putting a one-year moritorium on a handful, then going on another $20 Million bus tour to crow about how he made a huge concession to the right and that Republicans should now give him his phony millionaire tax increase. And Liberals will believe him.

Sorry Liberals, but the guy just hasn't given us any reason to trust him. When it comes to Barry, nothing is as it seems, and is usually what we get.

He can't make a single statement without lying:

But what I have done — and this is unprecedented, by the way, no administration has done this before

And EVERYTHING he does or is faced with is unprecedented. How did someone get into office who know so very little about government and its history? Let's hope the winner in 2012 requires more than a slogan and ability to speak well from a teleprompter.

The simple fact is he is now making the easy, empty promises. He does NOT say he will examine regulation or work with businesses to determine which ones are hampering job growth - that would require a critical look at the ridiculous burdens imposed by health care reform measures he passed. He CAN eliminate thousands upon thousands of meaningless regulations that are duplicative or not enforced, giving the illusion of change without any real substance. But hey, this is who he is and how he got tot he whitehouse so why are we expecting anything different?

Here's what businesses think of his plan:

"The administration's findings and determinations, on their own, are a worthy effort at making technical changes to the regulatory process, but the results of this look-back will not have a material impact on the real regulatory burdens facing businesses today," said Bill Kovacs, senior vice president at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

You're right - they know not to trust anything this guy says.

In the speech he gave today he mumbled that some things are too important to mess with, like the Environment. We're defeated before we've begun because the EPA is THE major problem.

I wish you would spend more time on this board. We even have similar writing styles.

I'm beginning to get the feeling that Fearless Leader STILL doesn't get the idea about regulatory reform, and that he's just going through the motions in case he might be able to snatch up some shaky Republican mugwump votes.

This afternoon there was a clip on TV in which he was congratulating himself for agreeing to ease regulations just to reduce taxes. I didn't get the clip, but it was from a speech he made last week.
