Potential Blockbusters

No, not an RD. Just a rep that wanted to sell stock today and ran into some interesting articles. I want to post this one because there’s been so many negative nancies lately. But the truth is that there’s potential for some real blockbusters here. I’ll breathe easy when Rockville actually files, but until then, there are people out there patiently waiting for the pipeline

This article also claims Trokendi XR doesn't have generic competition until 2023. I don't think someone is a negative Nancy for being concerned about what is happening with Topiramate ER early next year.

The issue is the already present step-thru with ER already present in a LOT of plans. It confuses drs. So we’re supposed to hold tight and keep making less money as they strip our lists and make it harder to bonus?? BS. Someday the pipeline might come to fruition but for the next year pay is going to suck. I’m probably not going to wait around

I also wanted to sell stock today. But my “option” price is too high. Given that we have like 3 months a year to access our stock, which I’ve heard is not normal, I guess I’ll hold onto it and see what happens

The blackout period is completely voluntary on the part of Supernus. They utilize the maximum - 60 days per quarter - that a company can impose a blackout on its employees. And it typically only applies to executives and officers. Which is curious considering VV, GP (our CFO), and PB all sold off the majority of the stock when it was at almost $60/share. During a blackout period. Well, at least the blackout period they impose on reps (I wonder if that same blackout applies to senior level....the minimum is only 3 days.....hmmm). And the stock plummeted after that quarter’s earnings call. So all the reps are stuck watching while the value depletes from the stock they were encouraged (strongly) to buy by the very people who sold all theirs during a time at which we couldn’t.

This is Supernus doing what they do best. Protecting the top by using the bottom. They get us to buy, then they won’t let us sell because if we all sold when VV sold (which many of us wanted to) the stock would have dropped even further faster.

Now I’m stuck with a bunch of stock that I’m praying to god will rebound in a couple of years.

Enough about the stock. The only certain thing about the stock is it hasn't bottomed out yet. I'm more concerned on rumblings from Rockville that RDs just got a FAT RAISE.

Exactly. I was issued stock options near that price and “bought” into the employee stock plan, which is why I couldn’t sell it without taking a huge loss. So much for the stock “programs” at this company.

I guess when a company is experiencing:
Stock freefall
Questionable Pipeline
Behind Forecast
Lack of Transparency
Low Bonus Payout
Emerging competition around the corner looking for talent

You have to make sure you anchor down your assets. Obviously the company doesn't view its reps as valuable assets.

I would love a bump in my salary as growing market share in my 18% MS territory is only becoming exponentially harder. Management is insane to expect reps to make big bonuses at this point... But we only have 850 mil in the bank....

Assuredly this has nothing to do with the company's financial ability. It has everything to do with their desire to keep the reps hungry. See in Rockville's eyes the reason why we are behind forecast for the year is because reps aren't working hard enough.

They chose to bet on their RDs not their reps and Rockville will have to live with the consequences of that decision.

I want to know how much of a raise!!!

That strategy sounds about right from our wise leaders. Raise would be nice, considering the bull they’ve pulled over paying us. But doesn’t matter to me. I see my exit happening soon, as I’ve heard others do too

Cafepharma: The same angry lonely dude, saying the same dumb negative things over and over again.

One of these days you might actually leave. Or you’ve already been fired and come just to stir up. Either way, we won’t/don’t miss you bud.

Cafepharma: the same overpaid, out-of-touch RD trying to discount valid concerns and comments, belying their desperation to cast doubt in an effort to maintain what little morale there is left.

They deserved a raise. Candy Crush isn’t going to play itself

I can only speak for my RD and believe me he’s bottom of the barrel but even so they probably did need a raise I think they are considerably underpaid compared to industry standard. With that being said it makes me slightly nervous because we are $20M+ in the hole and they are handing out big raises Why? Obviously trying to keep RDs from jumping ship

Nice try, but I’m a fellow rep. The only thing I have in common with the RDs is being tired of your whining.

Some concerns on here are valid, but the difference between you and the rest of us is we acknowledge them and move on doing our job.

I won’t go with the ole “if you don’t like it here then leave” but for real, if you hate your RD, the drugs you promote, your marketing team, leadership, and the pipeline then why are you sticking around? Seems like the only job satisfaction you have is complaining on anonymous message boards.

The best way to avoid negativity and increase production is a stable course. The past few months have been nothing but volatile. If you are going to try to argue that you really need to put the Kool Aid down.

That’s the problem buddy, you see this as an argument. This is one angry person yelling about the past while everyone else moves on. We get it, things aren’t perfect, get over it.

As far as the kool aid comment goes...you know who drinks a ton of kool aid and just got fat raises? I recommend you try the Blastin Berry Cherry, it’s the best.
