Hi, I am finishing my PhD in genetics and oncology at MGH and I have a good chance to get a job as a postdoc in MRL in Boston area.
Eventhough I don't know yet the details of the job (salary, issue, etc) I think is a good opportunity to make science at the same time that I pursue a career in industry
But after reading the comments in the forum I don't know what to think, or whether is worth going there:
is it really that bad? Am i not gonna be able to make good science in there?
what is a postdoc salary at MRL? If I stay in academia I will get something around 35-40k, depending on the place
do u really think that making research at MRL is worthless?
can u recommend me any other company in boston or NY area?
I have to make my decision within the next 3 months. Help please XD
