I guess it is a start, but is only a discussion of ending Saturday delivery from the postal service. There is little real action here and the problems are not getting attention.

Like most national programs, some local control would improve it further. There are very rural communities that have limited internet access, or older communities that rely on snail mail delivery of checks. But many of the rest of us would be happy with once a week snail mail. Concerning are plans for payment into pension funds and any postal worker that thinks the pension is sound should think again.

Good, so now we only have to clear out the junk mail 5 days a week instead of 6? UPS proposed taking over the Postal Service years ago during the Nixon administration. They could've done it cheaper and better with no taxpayer burden. What stopped them? Government ego.
