Pod system sucks. What other company still does this crap? I have 5 managers. 2 regular DM, 2 Spec and a RAM. Leave me alone, give me my area and let me show you how much I can do without all these partners.

Be thankful PODS will be shrinking sooner than anyone knows. The Board will look at the head count very closely over the next several quarters with the FRX stock price under severe selling pressure. There will be less sales people for sure, think 15-25% which most sales reps would agree is necessary. As Lexapro moves off patent, the amount of reps required to market will be less. I would imagine the specialty rep and 1 of the 4 POD reps will no longer be refilled. The rep turnover is high enough that no formal announcement will ever be made, the axe will not fall hard like at at a GSK or PFE. I wish everyone luck and go sell some pills and Happy Holidays to all your families.

You're right about having too many managers but don't think your partners are holding you back. Scripts are largely controlled by managed care and everybody in the field knows it so I'm not convinced you'd do much better on your own.

I don't understand why pharma management can't see that the field reps have very little impact on the market anymore and 90% of the decision is in the hands of MC companies.
