PICO position

Typical - of course you are not going to get a serious reply on this board! I am a current employee at S&N AWM division and although I do not sell PICO directly, there is tremendous opportunity to take PICO to the next level!!

I would hope so...Santyl has been around for over 20 years. Pico has been on the market for less than 5 years. This is tough gig with Prevena and many new surgical incision dressing in the market. Hospitals do not want to add costs to surgeries no matter what the evidence indicates.

Tell that to the copious Hospitals putting millions into the Intuitive Robot, which, with a few exceptions, is a shell game. Time of surgery as well as cost savings is significantly less n many Laparoscopic cases without using the Robot. So, a 2 million dollar Robert verses "prevention" on a $225 Pico, should not be an issue. It is a matter of showng Pico to the true high risk specialties. Ortho, Spine, Bariatrics are the market. Stay away from skin grafts and donor sights. If the wound dehisces, then slap a Renasys on. It was my understanding that boys of integrity and transparency said Renasys who'd he back on the market the past Feb. I wonder what they paid UHS and Apria for lost revenues not due to recall, but due to (as the FDA calls it), "adulterated product" that should be my used. It is my understanding that the EZ Max had an affair with The Go pump.

Run away......PICO may amount to something, but the leadership is HORRIBLE at AWM now!

Even under the best of conditions, the average rep might sell approx. 50k of Pico a year. As with everything else, they lied to us when they said Pico is worth 300 million a year domestically, the entire Wound VAC market is worth 1million, particularly with Medicare reimbursements going down with competitive bidding. The most Pico will do domestically, is 2 to 2.5 million a year. It is a unique product, but how many times have you had this stuffed into your brains during the rah rah bs of NSM. It is simply a complementary product for closed wound specific, Ortho, Spine, Oncology. That is the ceiling. So, if you like selling a product which takes significant time verses putting glorified band aids on patients, like to have call backs over the weekend, yet still generate a whopping 4k per month, along with a tired old graft that is no Oasis, then go for it. Wrong product, wrong product mix, wrong timing, wrong leadership (although BA does make me laugh as he truly is the Lord of Douche).

You obviously don't know anything about what you are trying to talk about. There are absolutely some reps that are selling anywhere from $30K - $40K a month in PICO. Glorified band-aid...maybe, but docs and surgeons like it due to the ease of use and not having to deal with KCI. Did you really say the entire Wound Vac market is $1M/year?! If you are going to troll, at least try to be somewhat educated when you do it.

I said what I said and it is true. The average is what it is per rep Corp Clown or Young Punk (which is all they have left). Go check your numbers BA Clonie.

It's already selling 15 mill a year. Where are you getting 2-2.5 you are stupid and do not understand the business. It will be 60 mill soon.

No. It is you who are clueless. Check Prevena sales on close wounds by the 98 percent market leader. You have now have less than half percent market share. Yes Pico is different than Prevena but it doesn't matter. KCI is ditching Pico out of most facilities. The entire West Coast will be lucky to do 500k per ear. For every 40k per month rep, there are 20 lucky to do 2k per month. Many will be dumped but of course you will be untouchable.

The Sales continue to grow on a monthly basis. The proper focus with the right sales force is now selling the product. There is no other device out there on the market like pico and it's being adopted by both the physician and quality at top level institutions. It's a fun time to be part of this growth

long gone from this division which always has and always will suck. To the young whippersnappers out there who feel they will turn the world with Pico. Please do not depend on this marginal product - which is good - but will never be used more than marginally. If your paycheck depends on this product, you had better run. They wind you up and send you out, but Pico will never carry the day. When SN lost 98 percent of their biz, they were cooked. I only hope that you have something else to sell out of your bag because Pico will not complete you in any way.

I can happily say I don't work for these clowns anymore. Let me guess...I couldn't hack it, I coukdnt sell the bag, or I just wasn't good enough. They did me a HUGE favor my laying me off in December.

After being with SN many years, the greatest things I did was to leave. It is a micromanaged Pharma Division, and in free fall. For all these Pico, Oasis, kook aid drinking kids, you had better watch your back. This lip stick on a device will not last. Open your eyes, and see there are many better opport out there. I am making more money, have zero micro management, CMS, Integrity Selling (an oxymoron if there every one BA). The key is, do you want to be independent? If so, run, if you like to have most ov your working day being audited, then stay, and become a robot.

I think the micromanagement depends on who you work for. I don't have that but some others may. This has been a good place to be and yes you have to enter some calls which is pharm but it could be worse and unless you are some 1099 being independent is not a reality. The products are very good and the resources we have are endless. Sorry it didn't work out for you but I guess I am one of those satisfied employees and I see a great future here ahead

The products are good, especially Renasys. Actually it is upper mngmt that with the good products they have, will find a way to screw up. The French Man has a solid reputation for cleaning house radically, especially when the numbers do not show, they have a bloated census of employees currently. And then there is BA, the incompetent who keeps on ticking.

I believe the poster meant the W Vac Mkt is worth 1 billion which is valid. Pico may do more than 2 million a year outside of the US, Yes, there millions more being sold in Canada alone. However, Canada is a socialized pay per use system, which is why they are selling millions more alone, in a Country with 30 million people. When you count Europe, yes, Pico may be around 15 million a year, but it will never reach those kinds of numbers in the US. Op Clinics reimbursement has killed chance of getting Pico in, and the Acute Care facilities do fine utility for Pico on high risk closed wounds. However, there may be some exceptions throughout the US in a specific Hosp or IDN, but the volume will never be huge. Hopefully, these reps have more than Pico to sell.
