phase 1 class scheduled for next week

They've had a new class there all week already, scheduled for 3wks. They were already told that their future was uncertain..!

If the company is going to do what is best for business going forward, I would hope that few to none of these people would be kept in oncology unless there aren't other reps already in their territories. They will stumble around for 6-12 months just trying to find offices and then wait for 6 months before they can get on the schedule for appts. Not really the scenario you want right in the middle of an important drug launch.

If most were promoted internally, I would hope they will have the opportunity to return to their previous positions... assuming they haven't already been filled or down sized.

keep dreaming this is eisai there is no looking out for the best interests of the employees

look, this is eisai, and they like the whole churn and burn strategy. hire young and dumb and moldable, pay 'em less, and frighten the shit out of 'em from day 1 that they could lose their job. they've never paid for or placed any importance on relationships with physicians/accounts. a rep on the east coast got hired because he had really great relationships at a huge academic center. a quarter later, they gave it to a guy with no hospital experience. they'll lay off older more expensive reps and keep the younger cheaper ones. it's just business to them. it is funny however that every time i have to get some sort of marketing or sales support, I am dealing with a new hire at HO, since a lot of folks there stay about 6-9 months.

HO is a f'ing mess and after Friday it will only become a rotting waste land. Don't depend on HO to support anything moving forward. All are checked or checking out.
