PharmaDerm, the good, the bad and the ugly?

What is the work / life balance like at PharmaDerm? I do have many years Dermatology experience and have an opportunity to interview. The few reps I have met over the years always seemed to be happy and not have the issues that the major pharma company does with micro management, call and sample criteria, etc.,
PharmaDerm seemed to look at the numbers and reward those that perform and treat you with respect like a professional should be.
Curious as I would like to stay in Dermatology, enjoy the offices and doctors - have an excellent relationship with them all.

Overall good! They (so far) leave you alone to bring in the business. No micro management but big on relationship selling. Manager works with me maybe 5 times a year but talks to us weekly. we have a diversified product listing that supports; derms, peds, podos, and women's health care----------so you don't get bored calling on one therapeutic area. like every job, it probably depends more on the manager you have. if they are mature, experienced and know how to lead they will be hands-off. On the other hand-if they are insecure, immature and unprofessional they will be in your face.
PharmaDerm promotes a good company culture.

what are the base salaries like? Avg. commission? Any additional info about this company will help as I am trying to decide whether to interview for the company. Thanks

Thanks for leaving a level-headed post, appreciate it. On this site it is hard to get a straight answer.

I am interviewing with PharmaDerm and another thread seem to elude to Nycomed having trouble "surviving." Can anyone share some stories about this company? Also, who are the good managers to work for?

Nycomed, our parent company, is based out of Israel. Since all the crazies in the middle east are rising up, Israel is readying their small population for war and running the company with a skeleton crew.
