Pharma Guidelines?

In an office yesterday for a lunch, in the lunchroom. Qudexy reps walks in and asks to see med assistant. The rep gives the assistant a box of chocolate covered pretzels with the drug name attached (no PI), rep does not get signature for the food. The rep then tells the assistant that she will give the assistant product information and highlight the most important areas for the physician to read.

I was trying to keep track of the violations but they were coming so quickly that it was hard to keeptrack of them. There were, at least, 4 major violations in the first 4 minutes of the conversation.

Does anycompliance training take place at Upsher?

Of course not! We have no training for anything at USL.

I do not know what was more scarey, the rate at which Pharma guidelines were being made or the total lack of awareness and how brazen the comments were. The conversation was had at the reception desk where everyone could hear. Experienced reps should know better. Either that or there is such desperation to sell that rules are disregarded.

I am assuming that Upsher is not under a CIA.

Whats more likely, someone made up a totally false story about a sales rep to slander the company, or a sales rep is bending the rules in a desperate attempt to improve their standing?

Original poster here, no need to slander anyone since I was in the office and could obtain the persons name, I could have done a lot worse than slander an unidentified rep on Cafe Pharma.

If anything, someone needs to pull the rep aside for a conversation. The next person who overhears what I heard may not be so nice.

I do agree that it is desperation. Anyone with any knowledge of Pharma guidelines, or any common sense, does not act that way. And if they are desperate, they could still be discreet about their activities.

My thought was that with so many reps leaving the industry, that reps that acted this way were weeded out.
