Pfizer moving to a 100% TBO

I am hearing some serious info that Pfizer is moving to a 100% TBO evaluation for bonus. Several divisions already are there or close to there. Just look at vaccines which is 100% TBO and others such as IS which is majority TBO. Strange the Pfizer is taking on the GSK model which hasn't worked. Anyone else see the same thing for all sales divisions?

TBO is when your DM rides with you 5-6 times a year and fills out a sheet with dozens of "behaviors" they think you are or are not meeting expectations on.
You are not compensated by your numbers at all, it becomes 100% what your DM's perception if you is. The company saves millions because they don't have to buy good data anymore. Ass kissers absolutely flourish in this environment, but it opens the company up to lots of liabilities and HR issues on how people are being "ranked"
Overall the company saves money and had complete control as to determining who the winners and losers are. Back in the day the ARM's and later the ops managers would shift account credit around and manipulate #'s that way. TBO's are much less ambiguous. Shocked that Pfizer hasn't done this yet since it's such a good way to reward the company's true values of sucking up, kissing ass and undermining and back stabbing your counterparts to get ahead
 




Fact- TBOs (which are pure horseshit!) were 50% of our income in 2014.

This year it's only 20% (thank God because my DBM is an asshole).

So, it looks like they are phasing them out, like they should be.

Either way its ripe for asskissers to be rewarded for missing numbers because they meet "objectives"...the classic non-accountable way that execs pad their wallets...its not their fault they missed the numbers, they hit objectives in typical check the box fashion....its obviously the market, or unforeseen obstacles out of their control..guffaw guffaw.

Meanwhile the people who put up numbers and alter their strategies to ensure their numbers get hit, get nailed by their window dressing micromanaging evaluators. All because they don't stop to kiss ass and check boxes that the boss wants for his/her own MBO plan completion.

Typical of the mediocre organization that Pfizer has become.
 




Same competencies...blah...blah...blah with all of the major pharmaceutical companies. One gets the idea and it is pass around. Why these people make it so difficult is beyone belief or where they get their ideas. Crazy and want to drive reps crazy.

Typical rep who can't read the whole paragraph. Original comment said "moving to 100% TBO". You sir are a dipshit. How would you know there isn't talk about moving to 100% TBO? You don't. This has been punted around for years as others in the industry are doing it-so of course it is explored and actually done in vaccines and heavily (not 100%) in IS in the past.

Face it, as reps, why do you care how you are bonuses? You have very little influence on prescribers, why not get paid for showing your boss you go through the motions?
