The pharma job market is not better than a year ago. The aforementioned companies have all had layoffs in the last several months. It just keeps getting worse. Make your move now. Don't wait for Sanofi to throw you in the same pot as all the other Pharma cast-off's. If you hesitate, you may be interviewing for a contract sales job paying much less and competing for a lower paying job with tenured award winners from other pharma companies. It's not a bad situation.... It's worse than that.

For those with mostly pharma 'sales' the job description and duties of what we really do has been leaking out now for the past few years. Once considered a pinnacle sales job "OH!you talk to doctors about science and stuff" has withered to "oh. you drop off samples and pens"

Sure everyone is different in their abilities but you've been painted with the broad brush of perception, which is tough to overcome.

Then, whether you are a good rep or a poor one, we are all in the same boat and will need to rebuild our resumes by looking first at Home Depot or Lowes for those real sales jobs.
