Pfizer Inc. (PFE), the world’s largest drugmaker, had consulting contracts with Gingrich, according to two people familiar with the arrangements. Pfizer spokesman Ray Kerins didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Around the same time, Gingrich joined an advisory board created by Pfizer that also included Andy Stern, former president of the Service Employees International Union, according to two people familiar with the group. Pfizer would organize meetings with about 15 people in its New York offices or the Ritz-Carlton in McLean, Virginia, to discuss policy initiatives in Washington.

Pfizer is trying to buy up political influence and I somehow cannot get samples to help patients, money to feed nurses who complain about the prior authorizations and speaker funds to get doctors to write more script, let alone handout an ink pen. WTF?

Political influence is more damning than trying to influence a physician.

Pharma guidlines are BS. It's just another way that the companies are reducing dollars spent on promotion until Obama Care hits. Try to get as many politions in your pocket so that when decision are made by the goverment you have already paid them off to use your drugs. So few make decision for so many it's really sad.

Pharma is a joke. It has no pride.
They have their hands out to gov officials like a panhandler.
Individual companies are even more cowardly in the group called Pharma.

Dole out money to a foreign politician to do business and get charged with the foreign corrupt practice act. Dole the money out to a US politician to do business and call is a political contribution.
