Pet Armor Gone?

They will be back with the fiprnil only product. Pet Armor Plus will be gone because FL+ has a patent until either the end of 2013 or 2016 (several different patents)

Georgia court has held any decision for 120 days
Enjoy your savings through the summer of 2011 and 2012.
And Hopefully court of appeal decision goes with Merial For now Generics are here Here to stay

Pet Armor Plus is gone. Not Pet Armor. The difference? S-methoprene - the Insect Growth Regulator (which is a weak IGR because it has to come into contact with flea eggs/larvae to work; is degraded by sunlight; and does not spread evenly all over pets body). Pet Armor doesn't have fipronil + s-methoprene. So its here to stay because its not a patent infringement. Pet Armor Plus was.

Hey vets - your customers can still get Frontline Plus a heck of alot easier from stores than can you. You're competing with gas prices and convenience of shopping. Why vet clinics are still carrying Frontline Plus is amazing. This dopes also say that Merial gives their customers a great deal buy 6 get 2 free. You don't get the mark up on it doc. You are training your customer base you are no different than Walmart / Costco / Lowes / Target / ect....

Thanks SM. You are wrong. You must be desperate! Not selling much Trifexis I assume. Week chemical, resistance to Spinosad, and no tick claim are hard to swallow. Not to mention, that big pill makes them vomit!

You know, it's funny...some of the same folks (Novartis) who claim that S-methoprene is "weak" are also the same ones who used to claim that fipronil was "weak" (remember your "resistance" BS?). Yep, they're singing a different tune now. I guess some people will say whatever it takes to make a sale.

Anyhow, show me studies that back your ridiculous claims about S-methoprene. You can't because they don't exist...it's all speculative BS. Guess what, I can immediately produce at least 4 that demonstrate its effectiveness (yes, they're published and peer reviewed). As for the "degraded by sunlight" argument, thank God dogs and cats don't emit sunlight from their skin...we'd all be in trouble then.

Your right they have always thought frontline plus was weak but thats because of the s- meth not the fipronil. Its only needed for ticks now and a couple of adult fleas here there.

Tell you what....show those 4 studies to DVM's when they tell you they're seeing lack of efficacy with Frontline Plus and dogs still have fleas. Real life trumps any study. The only thing that is needed now is the fipronil. DVM's never see it fail on ticks.

Eli Lilly division will be sold. Too many drugs going generic on the human side. I look for Novartis to buy them and Bayer to buy majority of Pfizer AH.
Virbac will buy some of Pfizer and maybe Merial.

My vet told me that this product was also pulled because it was harming animals....my dog personally suffered seizures and I've heard other people mention that it has burned their pets skin also.....good ridance!

Regular Pet Armor still available in Walgreens,Walmart and Sam's Club (have not heard about any adverse reactions). Very odd that it would have burned an animal.

Some clinic's clients are so stupid! I was in a clinic today the owner told the doctor that they were buying per armor at walmart cheaper than what the clinic's frontine is ($44 /3pack), then the client goes on to say "its working great, I am only going through 1 box a month" the doctor replied " how so, do you have 3 dogs" client, "no just the one I put it on her every 10 days" this stupid lady is paying $25 a box ($75 for 3 month supply) from walmart for crap that doesnt work. when the doctor tried to explain it was cheaper and better to buy frontline she could not understand the situation called hima a-hole and walked out. Why are people so stupid these days?
