Performance and rankings

The revived thread of "forced rankings" hit me. Did the rest of the nation have this same situation?
Belsomra Reps performed poorly again in 2016 but they were force ranked above the rest of the reps because they did not get awards last year and their feelings were hurt AND a couple former respiratory reps (Now team 3) were given VP awards as well. It would have been nice to know ahead of time so I wouldn't have worked toward an imaginary ever changing reward system. There was no chance in HELL that 1/2 of us could get an award. Bottom line, the reps who bring money into the company were not rewarded but those who have a monthly PPO of a couple $1000 win!! The PPO objectives aren't high enough to cover basic expenses like their lunches!! What?!?!? Before I get jumped, this is not any individual reps doing but the poorly run Merck!! Talk about transparency. I wonder what I am working towards this year......the most field emails win!!!

So are you saying that there is no incentive in the Merck incentive system?
