Ped State officials have flown out to Boise twice in attempt to coax Coach Petersen to join their dysfunctional family. What is it about "no" that they don't understand?
I understand their strategy. They want a super-successful coach with a squeaky clean image to restore their dirtied and tainted program. That job would be worth a minimum of a ten year contract @ $10M per year. But the good Coach is way too smart for that. Sandusky hasn't even been tried by jury yet and the lawsuits are only starting. After it's all said and done the head coach would probably be working out of a double wide trailer on the practice field. Why would Coach Peterson want to get involved in that crap when he's got a great laid-back job at Boise making a clean $2M a year? Coach Petersen is like a god to the Boise students and citizens. Why give that up? UCLA offered him a full $4M a year plus $2M for his assistants. He turned that down without batting an eye. Ped State thinks they have a icecube's chance in hell of bringing Coach Petersen on board??? HAH!
But if I were selected to be the the next Ped State football coach I would do two things immediately upon my first day at the office:
1) Prohibit minor boys from any Ped State football facilities without my informed consent.
2) Fire Jay Paterno
